Does anyone else have a love-hate relationship with snow?

I get it, though. I live in an area that gets plenty of snow during the winter. And the fall… And a healthy dose during the spring, too… You know, it really wouldn’t surprise me to have a freak snowstorm in July here.
But even with all that snow, I still love watching it fall. I love standing outside (for just a few minutes) and waiting for them to come close to me, tracing their dance through the air until one lands on my arm. Then, I get to look and see if I can see that beautiful snowflake pattern!
I love the excitement my kids get when it snows. The wonder and beauty of it are just so fun to share with them. They love sledding and making snowmen and snow angels and throwing snowballs at Daddy. It makes the magic come alive for me again, too.
But, now that I’m older, I also see the dirty, icy aspect of snow. Oh, man. The ice! I hate ice. Four years of walking to college classes over icy sidewalks just killed the magic of snow for me for awhile.
