Happy Black History Month! I hope you enjoy these gorgeous African American Women clipart sets!
I love learning about history. World events, religions, geography and cultures are so unique and meaningful to our world today.
But history doesn’t have to be too far in the past either. One of the huge problems in the genre of history is that the perspectives are too often one-sided.
How much of your high school education was spent on European and American history, as opposed to literally the rest of the world?
How much of your American history classes glossed over many of the experiences of cultures other than white?
Mine did that. A lot. It’s only really as I’ve gotten out of college and been exposed to more of the world that I’ve realized just how much I don’t know.
But I’m trying to learn!
And so, in honor of Black History Month, I want to highlight some of the gorgeous African American women clipart that’s out there. Anyone else notice that a ton of people clipart is white? Yeah, me too. Does that represent our beautiful country? Not really!
Use these cliparts for advertising, printables, and so much more!
We’ve got a huge variety of characters, from occupation themes to besties to Christmas to moms and kids! Some are modern and trendy, while others feature traditional African women. The one with the moms holding their babies just tugged at my heartstrings so much! Awww!
I’ll admit, I cheated a bit and added some adorable African American girls and kids, but they were just so cute!
I hope that these cliparts will fit your next project beautifully!
