Black cats get a bad rap sometimes, but they’re not just for Halloween! In honor of Black Cat Awareness Day, I’d like to share some cute black cat SVGs!
There’s another National Black Cats Day on October 27, so I’ll post some fun black cat SVGs then, too!
Sadly, black cats are feared and abused because of their long association with Halloween and witches and all that good stuff. Who hasn’t heard of it being bad luck if a black cat crosses your path?
Is it true? Of course not!
But that hasn’t stopped the adoption rate for black cats from being lower than for other colored cats. So, if you’re thinking about adopting a new feline friend, consider a black one!

And the list goes on! I’m a bit of a name nerd myself, and I think naming pets is way more fun than naming babies. Sorry kiddos! Lots more options, and way less pressure.
Now, obviously these are all SVGs, and you can cut them in whatever color medium you’d like. But I like to think of them as black cats, and of course some of them have lettering on them to make the association clear.
