Cottagecore is making a big statement right now, and these shabby chic digital paper sets set off the theme perfectly!
I’m really enjoying the shabby chic tend, especially in digital design. These digital scrapbook paper sets would be so beautiful in a photo album, as decoupage picture frames, as covers for cute homemade notebooks, and so much more!
I love the soft florals, the faded fabrics and papers. I’m usually not a huge fan of paisley, but if it’s aged monochrome you might actually convince me!
And more than just the patterns, I love the meaning behind the aesthetic. Going back to a simpler time, where lives were less complicated and hectic, appeals to me on a primal level. Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not giving up my indoor plumbing, but the concept of decorating to evoke a feeling of quietude and simplicity can absolutely counteract the chaos of modern life.
That’s part of why T and I decided to move our family out of a sprawling city and into a rural town. We were tired of the traffic, the hustle, and the noise. We love where we live now! There is no rush anymore. We look out the window and see stunning sunsets instead of smothering smog.
And that’s part of what I love about cottagecore and shabby chic. Things don’t have to be sleek and shiny and new to be beautiful. That worn in look carries its own appeal!
So sit back and simplify just a little with me. Enjoy something that has endured the test of time (or at least looks like it has!). I hope you enjoy!
